Account Manager

Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology or technical services deals (ideally with large startups or ISV customers)
- Extensive quota carrying technology or technical services sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
Job summary
You will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive engagement at the CXO level as well as with business owners, IT architects, developer community and other customer executives. You will thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments and has strong communication and presentation skills.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with C-level executives of commercial business and/or small and medium businesses in NZ
- Build and execute Territory plans for your sales territory
- Work with the Marketing Team, solution architects and specialist teams to ensure customers are successful in their cloud adoption efforts
- Prospect and build a wide breadth and depth of relationships within customer organizations
- Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS and advocate for AWS across multiple teams within the customer organization
- When appropriate, work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities
- Build and lead pursuit teams for larger opportunities
- Ensure commitments to the customer are met
Key job responsibilities
- Ensure customer success is central to all what we do
- Work with multiple stakeholders within customer organizations
- Build and execute strong account plans
- Work as the front for the broader AWS organization and simplify the engagements for our customers
- Establish and maintain a strong engagement cadence between AWS and customers (and partners when required)
- Previous Cloud expertise at a technology company
- Experience doing business in markets outside of New Zealand.
- Experience with Venture Capital and/or Startup ecosystem
- Channel Sales and Go to Market Planning
