Network Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for both business-as-usual (BAU) tasks and project-based work, ensuring the optimal health and performance of customer networks. The networks you'll work with may be on-premise or cloud-based. You'll contribute to network solutions, manage upgrades and deployments, oversee patching, and handle backup and recovery activities. The technologies you'll be working with include LAN, WAN, Wireless, Cloud (Azure and AWS), VMware, Storage (SAN, DAS, NAS), and backup and recovery systems.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to the development and documentation of network solutions that align with customer requirements and best practices.
- Manage and execute network upgrades, deployments, and patching activities to maintain network reliability and security.
- Oversee backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions for various projects.
- Utilize your expertise in LAN, WAN, Wireless, Cloud, VMware, and storage technologies to address network challenges effectively.
- Engage in troubleshooting customer issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Work in compliance with change control procedures, ensuring proper approvals and thorough documentation.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance network capabilities.
**Experience and Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry, with a significant focus on Network Engineering.
- Proven experience working with Cisco and Fortigate network equipment.
- Previous involvement in network design for large-scale projects.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Hands-on experience in network infrastructure projects across the entire lifecycle, from design to configuration and deployment.
- Familiarity with change control processes and documentation standards.
- Certifications in Microsoft, Fortigate, or Cisco are desirable.
- Strong communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
