**About the role**
The Engineer Network Operations role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all ICT systems (whether internal, contracted, outsourced or cloud delivered) that support core organisational functions through monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimising all networked software and associated operating systems.
**Key responsibilities include (but not limited to)**:
- Manage TWoA Microsoft platform, Mac OS XImaging and Management
- Manage TWoA Asure Subscription (Cloud Infrastructure)
- Integrate/Manage ICT infrastructure as per the TWoA architecture design document (attached below), including virtualization, cloud based technologies, print, backups, servers and their associated hardware and software.
- Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
- Collaborate with Hangarau support staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of ICT infrastructure for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Microsoft and/or Cisco Certifications
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or related field
- Full NZ Drivers license
**Experience**:
- 2+ years related experience in network support role
- Experience in Microsoft collaboration tools would be advantageous
- Must have experience in Microsoft Asure
- Must have Networking or On premise infrastructure experience
- Proven experience working with multi-site IT environment
- Proven understanding of hardware and systems technologies, and systems network infrastructure
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices
- Excellent understanding of the organisation’s goals and objectives
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Good project management skills
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
