Hi there Penny here, Homes Manager at St John of God Rolleston. I am really excited to share with you a new Support Worker night shift that has come available. This is a full time position of 36 hours per week. I cant stress enough how important it is that our residents are well supported and feel secure at night times. This is a highly responsible role and you will need experience working night shifts and be able to make sound decisions around the support and safety of the residents who live there.

The centrally placed Community home in Rolleston supports residents under the age of 65 who are living with physical and/or a neurological disability. The essence of the residence is welcoming and friendly and as a Support Worker your role is to support the residents to live in a homely and safe environment. In addition to the resident cares you will be expected to perform household tasks such as cooking, general cleaning and laundry. The shifts are 4 on and 2 off over a rotating 6 week roster.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
To be considered for this role I would like you to have the following:

- Health and Well-being Certificate Level 3 4 with Medication Competency
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Sound knowledge of Fire Emergency and Evacuation Procedures
- NZ work visa if you are not a Citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand.

We are offering full and paid orientation, a supportive management team, ongoing-training and Care and Support Worker pay Equity Rates with generous Night shift and Weekend allowances.
