**About the Role | He korero whakamarama mo tenei turanga**
The Support Services Team Leader is responsible for assisting with the management and organisation of the day-to-day work of a team of rehabilitation coaches alongside para professionals to deliver the highest standard of services to all clients and their families.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist with the management, organisation and co-ordination of the day to day work of a team of specialists to deliver the highest standard of service to clients, family, whanau and contract providers ACC, MSD, MOH or any other support agency involved with the client’s everyday life.
- Assist the manager in driving quality improvements by monitoring, auditing and carrying our quality assurance processes.
- Motivate, encourage, develop, observe, coach, train, induct and formally appraise employees to set performance standards, recognise achievement and manage performance.
- Critically analyse information, monitor performance, manage poor performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement to meet contracted targets.
- Completion of administration tasks such as weekly checks through appropriate data system re hours delivered and reporting tasks in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. You will also be required to report monthly to management in regards to hours, staffing, caseloads, clients alongside and good news stories to share with the board. Monthly updates to ACC on each client as per the request of ACC. Arrange bi monthly one to one meetings with staff on your caseload as well as arranging a team meeting every three months. Support team to problem solve and timekeeping as and when required.
- To support excellent service delivery and demonstrate quality standards with all stakeholders, ACC, MSD and MOH, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
- To participate in training and in service education supporting your colleagues
- In conjunction with management and those within the team set realistic goals for individual client’s based on consultation with ACC, client’s, whanau, families and any other significant others in their lives

- Good knowledge of the disability sector in the Auckland Region

- Ability to communicate with a diverse employee group; pitches communication to the individuals’ level of understanding; is consistent with employee and staff communication. Communicates openly with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
- Maintain all administration duties and provide timely reports.
- Understands challenges of working with people who have acquired brain injuries and those whom are living with a disability who may have complex physical and communication needs
- Ability to be able to work alongside other agencies involved in the support of clients to ensure they are receiving the best quality service for them
- Understands the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and displays cultural sensitivity and a willingness to work positively with organisational strategies to improve opportunities for Maori
- Knowledge of medication management, personal cares, management of diabetes and epilepsy
- Holds a National Certificate Level 4 Health and Wellbeing
- Current First Aid Certificate or is prepared to work towards achieving it
- Full New Zealand Driver’s License
