Auckland City, New Zealand Chorus NZ Limited Full time

Nau mai, haere mai. We’re Chorus. You may have already heard about us and know we’re the team empowering the digital future of Aotearoa with our ultra-fast fibre. We’re a talented bunch who are passionate about our purpose: _Unleashing potential through connectivity._ _Enabling better futures for Aotearoa._

**Te Momo Tūranga | Contract**: Permanent, Full Time

**Te Wāhi |Where**: Auckland

**Te Pūtake | Why we’re hiring**: We’re stepping into our next chapter, aspiring toward 80% fibre uptake across the motu by 2030. With our new strategy providing the roadmap for what we’re working to achieve and how we’ll get there, opportunities are emerging as we seek to expand our capability and talent in new and different spaces.

**Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity**

Help shape the future of New Zealand’s network infrastructure.

We’re looking for a hands-on, technically savvy specialist to join our Infrastructure Operations team. Someone who thrives on problem-solving and is ready to make an impact across one of New Zealand’s most critical infrastructure portfolios.

As a Senior Infrastructure Operations Specialist, you’ll play a central role in managing the deployment and utilisation of Chorus’ physical infrastructure, exchanges, poles, wireless assets, and data centre environments. You’ll be the trusted technical advisor, bridging the gap between our internal stakeholders, external customers, and service delivery partners. From overseeing co-location projects and cable management to contributing to asset strategy and network design, your ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions will be key to delivering operational excellence.

With more technology going into the field and optimising our physical assets, we’re also leaning on this role to help refine and uplift our processes. You’ll have the opportunity to lead project workstreams, support commercial and regulatory compliance, and drive improvements across systems, reporting, and data. If you’re someone who enjoys working at the intersection of operations, property, and infrastructure, and you’re motivated by making systems work better, this role offers both depth and breadth.

**Ō Wheako, ō Pūkenga | Your Experience**

You’ll bring a strong mix of technical experience and operational know-how, someone comfortable working in a complex, highly regulated environment with a passion for infrastructure and optimisation.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have:

- A solid technical background in telecommunications networks or infrastructure operations
- Experience deploying and optimising infrastructure technologies and systems
- Familiarity with colocation/property agreements and operational obligations
- A track record of leading or coordinating project delivery and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of change management principles in an operational setting
- Experience managing assets, compliance, and technical documentation
- Project management credentials (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) are a bonus
- Strong knowledge of data centre operations, MPO usage, and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Commercial acumen and awareness of regulatory, legal, and health & safety obligations

Not sure that you meet all the requirements? If you still think you could be great for the role, we encourage you to apply

**Mō mātou | About us**

We’re shaping a future where all New Zealanders are free to access opportunities that define their own lives, as we expand our network to help Aotearoa grow.

With a new strategy in place and a powerful, inspiring purpose, Chorus is an exciting space right now. We’re on the path to moving from being the great network builder to being the great network operator. To do that, we embrace our mindsets_: Be bold, ignite growth_, _Honour our past, reimagine our future_, and _Connect communities, empower people_. We need people who not only embody these mindsets and the underpinning behaviours but who also inspire others to do the same.

With our Chorus Care package benefits behind you, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow alongside a caring, open-minded team in an environment that embraces diversity, encourages innovation, redefines flexibility, and offers an enviable work life balance.

**Nōu te mana | Work your way**

**He Wāhi Whakaōrite Whiwhinga Mahi.
