Marsh Valuation Services is a specialist division within Marsh that undertakes the valuation of property plant, equipment and infrastructure assets for many of the Pacific region’s leading corporate and public sector organisations.

In order to support the ongoing growth of our Plant, Equipment and Infrastructure team, we are seeking to appoint an Infrastructure specialist with a background in engineering who is looking to further their career in cost engineering and capital cost estimating. Assisting the practice nationally, you would be undertaking the valuation of assets for many public and private organisations across New Zealand and the Pacific, primarily to assist with their insurance and financial reporting requirements.

This is a specialised area of valuations with limited professionals nationally. In joining Marsh you will be working with one of the region’s leaders in this space, allowing you to forge a career in a growing and unique industry. You will have the opportunity to use your existing engineering skills, as well as build on specialist valuation skills in order become a true leader in the specialist valuation field.

This role would suit a driven individual that is able to think outside of the box while working closely with multiple stakeholders. You would be encouraged to grow the New Zealand Infrastructure specialisation and enabled to take ownership of this section of the business.

**We will count on you to**:

- Provide independent infrastructure valuation advice for fixed assets across various industries throughout New Zealand
- Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide risk programmes and initiatives
- Develop pricing for complex projects and develop proposals to expand relationships with existing clients and gain new clients
- Build relationships with major clients and internal stakeholders
- Grow our brand internally and externally
- Meeting client-set project deliverables
- Manage clients and client information to assist in completing valuation projects

**What you need to have**:
Ideally we are looking for an engineer or valuer with some background and experience in cost estimation or asset management.
- Degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering, Plant and Equipment Registration with PINZ (or similar)
- 3+ years undertaking valuations of infrastructure assets at an engineering or valuation business
- Desire and willingness to learn new skills and to continually improve your professional competence
- Solid stakeholder management, strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills
- Experience working directly with clients to meet their project requirements
- Level-headed nature and organised under pressure
- Willing to travel both nationally and internationally
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commercial acumen
