We are seeking a dedicated Deaf Supports Services Team Leader who is responsible for assisting with the management and organisation of the day-to-day work of a team of Deaf specialists alongside para professionals to deliver the highest standard of services to all clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the management, organisation and co-ordination of the day to day work of a team of specialists to deliver the highest standard of service to clients, family, whanau and contract providers or any other support agency involved with the client’s everyday life.
- Assist the manager in driving quality improvements by monitoring, auditing and carrying our quality assurance processes.
- Motivate, encourage, develop, observe, coach, train, induct and formally appraise employees to set performance standards, recognise achievement and manage performance.
- Support management with growing of the business with a positive and embracing attitude
- Critically analyse information, monitor performance, manage poor performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement to meet contracted targets.
- Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, families and referral agencies to ensure the effective service delivery.
- Completion of administration and reporting tasks in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
- To participate in training and in service education supporting your colleagues
- To work in a professional, positive and ethical manner that fits with Geneva Healthcare’s company culture
- In conjunction with management and those within the team set realistic goals for individual client’s based on consultation with the person, client’s, whanau, families and any other significant others in their lives
- Understands and recognises ongoing and changing needs of clients and responds appropriately.

**What You Will Bring | Nga tohungatanga mo tenei turanga**
- Understanding of the Deaf community and supports available to people across New Zealand but primarily based in the Auckland Region.
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to lead and support a high performing team
- Fluent in NZSL and understanding of Deaf culture
- Proven and outstanding organisation and planning skills, including attention to detail, follow through and completion
- Understanding of the challenges of working with people who may have complex physical and communication needs
- Understands the significance of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and displays cultural sensitivity and a willingness to work positively with organisational strategies to improve opportunities for Maori
- Knowledge of medication management, personal cares, management of diabetes and epilepsy
- Current First Aid Certificate or is prepared to work towards achieving it
- Current Full NZ Driver’s License
