**The Opportunity**

This is a great career project. It’s a high impact role, and the results will be real, as your team will be supporting the end user journey in the highly positive digital transformation work currently in progress. There will be opportunities to get involved in some high-hitting projects that will be very interesting indeed.
- This role is part of the Digital Operations team, and will take the lead on ensuring provision of first-line digital support services to the organisation, and for the management of IT service requests.
- You’ll provide great leadership and development to the team, ensuring they are well supported to be the best they can be.
- You’ll play a critical part in the implementation of IT Service Management practices, and will work with colleagues and third party partners to implement process improvements that enhance the team’s ability.
- This will include overall management of the IT change process and communication of changes to end users (although note that there are also specialist project and change teams within the organisation devoted to specific large initiatives).
- The role will act as a champion for first-class IT Service Management practices and will work closely with other experts to devise effective processes tuned to the organisation’s needs.
- You’ll also have responsibility for the management of all end-user assets (e.g. desktops, laptops, mobile phones etc) ensuring the asset database is maintained and updated with all changes and working with the engineering team to ensure the timeline and cost-effective replacement of assets.

**About You**
- Naturally, you’ll have demonstrable experience in IT roles, including experience in a service desk or service management capacity.
- You’ll have sound knowledge of major IT service management platforms - ServiceNow would be a bonus.
- Working with a range of internal customers and stakeholders will excite you - and your strong relationship skills will reflect your enjoyment of this area.
- You’ll have demonstrable team leadership experience, with a desire to bring out the best in others and support growth and development.

- If you’re based outside the Manawatu, you’ll be open to regular travel to be onsite with the team to get some good face time.
