The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) at Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury is responsible for developing and implementing the University's research and innovation strategy, ensuring that research policies, plans, and processes build upon Canterbury's distinctive contributions to national and global significant research.

Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, this role will provide advice on research policy and strategy, promote research, research training and engagement with government, industry, other universities and research institutes to foster a high-performance research culture that raises research productivity and impact. The DVC (R&I) will contribute as a key member of the Executive team to build a shared leadership culture that positions Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury for a sustainable future.
