**What is the opportunity?**
Due to the growth of our business in NZ, we are currently recruiting for a HR Manager (HRBP) to provide HR consulting to the business.
A key responsibility of this role will also be working closely with the line managers to understand critical requirements, project future skills demand while influencing business leaders to support the assimilation of new hires into the organisation effectively.
This role will be the main contract between HR and the business and therefore will be an excellent communicator who aligns interests among various stakeholders to promote a cooperative and collaborative work environment whilst adopting a service excellence mindset with the passion to address organisational and employees needs and issues.
Further to the above your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Guide managers to focus on learning programmes to bridge staff capability gaps and build new skills
- Partner with the business in the identification and management of high potential talent and the implementation of succession plans
- Manage employee issues
- Support line managers in termination, offboarding and retirement processes
- Provide thought leadership in the development of strategies across the retail and distribution divisions
- Devise creative solutions in all aspects of the role and contribute to and lead key HR change initiatives
- Provide commercial coaching to Senior Retail and Distribution leaders
- Partner with the Executive and Leadership teams to design roles and optimise organsation structures that cost effectively achieves business outcomes
- Facilitate the development of Managers
- Provide advice on industrial relations matters and influence business outcomes to ensure that they are achieved in the context of legal, commercial and company values requirements
- Ensure compliance to NZ employment standards, adherence to Inchcape policies and all employment legislation and industrial instruments
- Lead managers in the recruitment of staff
- Be an escalation point of investigations and case work
- Develop organisational capability, ensuring a talent pipeline is identified, developed and leveraged across Retail
- Partner effectively with HR specialist groups including HS&E, Learning and Development, Talent, Recruiting, HR Shared Services and Payroll
