As Application Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining and improving the software systems that support the operations of Archives New Zealand Te Rua Mahara and the National Library Te Puna Mātauranga.

**What we’re looking for**

You’ll bring a strong service mindset and a solid technical background, with:

- Experience in software support, systems administration or service delivery roles
- Proven ability to manage incidents, respond to support requests and handle user provisioning
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external vendors
- Experience with backend data-service platforms and delivery, and use of query DSL
- Familiarity with the Azure Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and C++ / R (or other development languages) is a bonus
- Knowledge of UX design principles and accessibility standards in a public service context
- Confidence conducting user acceptance testing and writing support documentation
- Excellent collaboration, communication, problem-solving and planning skills

You’ll also demonstrate an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to reflecting tikanga and mātauranga Māori in the way services are delivered.
