We are looking for a Senior Specialist to deliver communications, engagement and stakeholder management on one of Auckland's largest infrastructure and urban regeneration delivery programmes, a thirty-year plan. This is an exciting role in a team delivering high quality communications, community and stakeholder engagement to support the planning and delivery of the rail level crossings programme, which is essential to grow rail services while keeping traffic moving and improving safety.

This role will plan, develop and implement engagement and communications for projects within this wider programme, ensuring communities and customers are well informed and their input influences planning of new infrastructure.

You will identify opportunities and issues for communities and stakeholders, mitigating or resolving them and managing reputational risk. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, partners and customers to build advocacy, help decision makers deliver informed outcomes and support successful project delivery.

You will join the Partnerships & Engagement Directorate which is responsible for outstanding partnerships, engagement, marketing and communications. We represent the voices of customers and communities to ensure AT keeps them at the heart of all it does, sharing and amplifying great stories to effect change and grow understanding.

**Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?**

You will bring a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a communication and engagement role alongside the following:

- Experience managing communications and engagement for projects involving multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
- Ability to think creatively to develop effective communication and engagement strategies and plans for complex projects, policies and programmes that are impactful and fit for purpose.
- Experience providing strategic advice in a fast
- paced environment and identifying and managing risk.
- Political nous.
- Strong resilience, optimism and empathy.
- Experience delivering customer focused outcomes.
- Experience in transport or infrastructure is preferred.
- IAP2 training or knowledge is preferred.
