Starship Community has redesigned its Community Ear Nursing Services and pathways and this has created a new opportunity within the service for an experienced child health nurse.
We have an exciting senior nursing opportunity available for a registered nurse currently working at the top of their scope.
As a Community Ear, Nose and Throat Nurse Specialist, you will be providing specialist nursing care and coordination of care for children and young people with ear, nose and throat conditions in the community. A well as ensuring other health and social needs are identified and addressed. This will include making differential diagnosis, initiating treatment and/or investigations. You will work collaboratively with inpatient ENT medical teams and Starship Community to ensure equitable outcomes for children, young people and their whānau.

**We would love to hear from nurses who have**:
- NZ registration and a current APC
- a full driver's license as this role will involve driving a Te Toka Tumai vehicle
- a passion and commitment to improving health outcomes for children and their whanau through expert timely nursing care and seamless navigation
- previous experience working in an inpatient and community health setting
- Post graduate diploma or currently working towards
- Leadership and quality improvement experience

Te Toka Tumai Auckland is part of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand's National Health Service. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Child Health, located in central Auckland.
The Hearing and Ear Health team is situated within the wider Starship Community Services. Starship Community provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children and whānau living within the Auckland area. We are committed to delivering whānau centered care that focuses on the health and wellbeing of children and their whānau. Getting to know our communities and working closely with them to remove inequities & barriers to health care for priority populations are key drivers for us each day.
Our service is made up of three locality-based community teams, a central service and a hearing and ear health department. We have a mixture of nursing, allied health and technical staff delivering a range of health care services including well child/ tamariki ora; child development, acute and long-term medical care.
