Senior Cyber Security Specialist working with Checkpoint and Azure cloud technology, can be fully remote Senior Security Specialist - Network Protection Squad Hays are working in partnership with a real employer of choice in ASB to support the growth of their Cyber Security functions. The products don't just serve ads or stream movies - they underpin our economy and touch people's lives. **About the role**: As a Senior Security Specialist in the Engineering Practice you will play a key part in the design, deployment, and maintenance of our cyber security systems, this involves looking after the day-to-day operational capabilities within the squads and investing in a number of fundamental services that underpin these technology stacks at ASB. Being part of the Engineering Practice at ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers. You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued. ASB advocate for T-Shaped teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities: - Plan, design, and deploy new cyber security systems - Design, implement and maintain security controls - Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures and resources - Identify and solve potential and actual security problems - Mentor and guide other team members - Keeping abreast of global cyber security threats and briefing the leadership team as appropriate **About you**: ASB value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown leadership while performing your role. We are looking for an individual that will provide expertise on how identity should be managed and is ready to tackle the latest and greatest identity management solutions. You will work collaboratively with our squads and stakeholders to be the voice of engineering and deliver products that delight our customers. We are looking for someone who has: - Proven experience in an enterprise operational security team providing thought leadership and challenge decisions to provoke new ideas and thinking - Experience in developing, implementing, or architecting enterprise networking and security solutions, with a strong attention to detail - Experience with cloud security technologies such as Azure firewall, Azure Security, NSGs and Check Point firewall especially in a cloud virtual appliance context - Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills - Passionate, self-starter with the ability to work on problems from inception to completion - A strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to work in a DevOps environment In addition, the following would be an advantage: - Experience with Azure networking and Azure Express Route. - Experience with Infrastructure as code, and Azure DevOps - Cisco ISE - WAF technologies - Azure certification **Working at ASB**: ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
