SkyCity Auckland is looking for a talented Communications Specialist to lead internal and external communications strategies that protect and enhance our corporate reputation.

Mōu | About You
You're an experienced communications professional who thrives in high-profile, fast-paced environments. You'll bring:

  • 8+ years' experience in communications roles, including internal communications
  • Strong experience working with external media and established networks across NZ
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable across channels
  • Proven ability to manage issues and crisis communications
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative approach
  • Preferred: Experience in highly regulated or publicly listed organisations, social media content creation, and Australian media exposure

Responsibilities
As a Communications Specialist, you'll develop and implement strategies that protect and enhance SkyCity's reputation. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading internal and external communications initiatives
  • Acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries and managing responses
  • Developing proactive PR campaigns to promote SkyCity's venues and partnerships
  • Managing social media and content strategies to engage audiences
  • Driving internal communications projects that boost employee engagement
  • Supporting investor relations and corporate reporting communications
  • Advising on crisis and issues management strategies

This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with senior leadership and multiple teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging across all channels.
