The Auahatanga|Creativity Floor is a home for the innovators and creatives, housing the fiction and world languages collections, creative spaces for learning and much more. This is a place for learners of all ages to hone and flex their skills using the creative technologies and media studio. Understanding of working in a space that supports community education, access to technology and collection would be really beneficial.

You will support the Team Leader by managing the operational delivery of services and day to day running of the Auahatanga Floor. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and coordinating frontline staff. You will empower a team of Librarians, Library Assistants and Specialists to make decisions and adapt to the varied range of enquiries that this floor attracts. You will also support the team to deliver programming, initiatives and events based on our collections and resources within Tūranga and across the network.

You will develop strong relationships with other Team Leaders and Floor Leaders to sustain outstanding service delivery in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication skills will enable you to work collaboratively as part of the Tūranga leadership group and support your team to work well throughout the library. As part of leadership at Tūranga, you will have rostered evening and weekend days to support the building in a 'person in charge' role.

- Salary_ - $66,663 to $83,271 per Annum

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
