**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
We are currently seeking a **Director of Finance & Accounting** to oversee the company’s financial activities and ensure overall financial health. The incumbent will be responsible for making strategic financial decisions while also actively engaging in day-to-day financial operations.
Working directly with the CEO, the individual in this role will collaborate closely with various departments at the company.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensure timely completion of monthly/annual financial reporting and bookkeeping.
- Organize and manage company finances, overseeing daily transactions and accounts.
- Collaborate with the CEO on financial matters, preparing reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations, including tax and VAT filings.
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting, aiding strategic decision-making.
- Manage relationships with vendors, clients, insurers, landlords, and other stakeholders.
- Handle contractor 1099s, capitalization tables, and equity awards.
- Conduct system audits, lead external audits, and implement internal controls.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- CPA license with 7+ years' experience in accounting and finance, specializing in financial management, compliance, and modeling.
- Proven track record in sales tax preparation, showcasing comprehensive understanding of tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precise financial documentation and error-free reports.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data and driving strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online for streamlined financial management.
- Skilled in financial modeling for forecasting and strategic planning.
