We are seeking a dynamic and experienced **Contract Manager - North Canterbury**, to join our team in Christchurch. This pivotal role is focused on managing the **North Canterbury Network Outcomes Contract (NOC)**to deliver exceptional outcomes in line with contract specifications, our Integrated Maintenance Management System (IMMS), and Downer’s commitment to operational excellence.

You will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with the NZTA Maintenance Contract Manager, driving performance, and leading a motivated team towards achieving outstanding results.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the North Canterbury NOC to achieve business plans, financial targets, and contractual requirements
- Ensure timely delivery of projects with high customer satisfaction and adherence to IMMS practices
- Manage relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and identify new business opportunities
- Lead, coach, and mentor your team, fostering a culture of operational excellence
- Contribute to regional business planning and development as part of the leadership teamChampion a safety-first culture by embedding Zero Harm principles in all activities

- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Proven experience in road asset maintenance, construction, or operations within the infrastructure sector
- Successful track record in project or contract management, demonstrating the ability to deliver results on time and within budget
- Strong leadership background, empowering teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and execute long-term goals while addressing immediate operational needsStrong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards, with a commitment to Zero Harm practices
