The Contracts Specialist ' Land and Leases
Management is responsible for supporting the management of land and property
leases for Waitaha Canterbury and Te Tai o Poutini West Coast.
The role involves proactively working with the
organisation to plan lease activities, to provide coordination, administration
and support of property leases and land holdings. This includes support of the negotiation,
valuation, finalisation and execution process, including ongoing leases
management. In this role, you
**will be responsible for the following**:
- Supporting
and maintaining relationships with stakeholders throughout
the leasing life cycle to enable successful delivery of services.
- Collating
lease and/or land requirements and gain appropriate confirmation and sign-off from
requirements.
- Working
closely with the vendors/real estate companies to identify the most appropriate
options for leases to meet sponsor/client requirements.
- Coordinating
negotiation process for lease agreements in conjunction with corporate legal through
to execution of the agreement and notifying finance team re payment/invoicing
of rent.
- Administering
initial/ongoing set up of rent invoices including rent and outgoings.
- Writing
of briefing papers to support decision processes around leases and land usage.
- Maintaining
decisions and property register and database for lease documents.
- Assisting with the
arrangement for payment of accounts in a timely manner and monitoring operating
expenses (OPEX) including Consumer Price Index (CPI) adjustments.This is a permanent, full time role (40 hours per week)
based at Christchurch Hospital.

**Skills required for this role**:
**Essential**:
- Experience in a senior administration and/or client/customer support
role, supporting multiple groups/individuals.
- Experience in a previous contracts and/or lease administration
roles.
- Exceptional verbal, written and
presentation skills.
- Experience of processing and monitoring vendor payments.
- Computer skills and experience of managing databases and reporting
systems.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite,
with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A balanced and informed approach to problem solving as well as
**situations involving change, stress and conflict. Desirable**:
- A tertiary level qualification is preferable.
- Experience and
knowledge of Public Sector environment.
- Experience and knowledge of Health Care environment.
- Experience in process
