**About the Role**

We have a permanent, full-time**opportunity available to join our Northern regional team as a** Manager, Planning, Policy and Performance.**

This is a key management and leadership role in the regional Northern regional service.

The primary purpose of the role is to lead and deliver regional strategic and business planning, health in all policies approaches, including policy submissions, and performance reporting for the regional service.

Travel throughout the region may be required.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

**About you**
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti Waitangi in action
- 3+ years' experience in health planning, policy development and performance reporting
- Experience in matrix and multidisciplinary working models
- Experience in leading change, innovation and service and quality improvement initiatives
- Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders
- Clean New Zealand Drivers' Licence
- Willingness to travel as required
- Able to demonstrate mature communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to write and present effectively, and to develop, unify and maintain strong internal and external relationships essential for achieving sustainable outcomes
- Proven supervision, mentoring and coaching skills
- Demonstratable understanding and experience working in partnership with Pacific communities
