**What you’ll be doing**

This is a pivotal role that plays a critical part in driving consolidation and alignment of planning and performance insights across the Chorus business.

This role is responsible for the central management, planning and insights of the Chorus business plan and performance in the current financial year and forward looking over a ten-year planning horizon.

This role will:

- Provide quality analytics and insights on group financial performance
- Be an essential link between the business unit finance managers and the executive level reporting for business plan, forecast and management reporting
- Incorporate regulatory requirements and planning impacts into BAU processes
- Deliver the business planning and forecasting processes
- Continuously improve systems and processes to support efficiency and insights

**What you’ll bring to the table**:
This role needs someone with strong business partnering skills, a strategic mindset and a passion for delivering the best commercial outcomes for Chorus.

You will need to have a flare for identifying key performance drivers and being able to deliver reporting that provides meaningful and insightful analysis

The role needs someone who can conduct deep dive analysis on focus areas quickly and follow up trends working with the business to rectify where necessary.

In addition to the above the role is responsible for:

- Monitoring forecasts and consistency with external investor guidance, including preparation of guidance recommendation board papers.
- Co-ordinate reporting for the Monthly ESG and Quarterly Business Review meeting to allow Executives to evaluate, approve and monitor business performance and Opex and Capex projects.
- Responsible for the central co-ordination, and management of the EBITDA and capex budget, forecast and planning processes in a timely manner to accurately predict performance, providing valuable insights into key trends, opportunities, and risks, identify potential initiatives to improve business outcomes and assist with implementation where appropriate
- Responsible for delivery of improvement initiatives for financial planning and performance processes to drive efficiencies in Chorus. This includes being the business owner for the BPC tool implementation project, ensuring individual deliverables align to future regulatory and central planning requirements.
