**_About the Assistant Care Manager role: _**

**_Tuesday to Saturday 8.30am to 5.00pm - 40hrs per week_**
Working in partnership with the Care Manager in the day to day operations of our Hospital care facility within our integrated village, you will lead, coach and develop the staff team to deliver service excellence. As part of this, you will also be responsible for guiding and supporting the team to achieve clinical excellence, ensuring all standards are being adhered to, and maintained, for the good of our residents. You will also assist the Care Manager with the management of compliance activities, monitoring staffing levels and approving time and attendance records.
**_Key Requirements are: _**
- A minimum of 5+ years in a clinical role as a registered nurse
- New Zealand Nursing registration and current APC.
- Proven clinical leadership skills with at least three years of nursing experience in an aged care environment.
- Proven people management skills with the ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
- Strong business and financial management skills/acumen.

Ivan Ward Centre at Selwyn Village is home to 90 residents in seven 'households' with each household functioning just like home, with its own living room, open plan kitchen and a large balcony for relaxing. Whanau and friends are able to visit and help to care for their loved ones.
