The Selwyn Foundation is a highly successful charitable foundation whose mission is help the aged. As part of its operations, Selwyn Village is a leading provider of care for the aged. In our culture, people enjoy their work and take a sense of pride in providing the very best care.
We are seeking a fantastic Village Nurse to join our team at Kerridge House, in the stunning Selwyn Village, Point Chevalier.
This position will be based at Kerridge Rest home and will be responsible for responding to clinical call-outs from residents in Independent Living, at the same time providing support with miscellaneous non time-restrictive tasks as allocated within the stand-alone rest home (ie Kerridge). The highest quality nursing care will be provided as appropriate through professional assessment, expert knowledge, skill and clinical support.
We currently have the following permanent part time shifts available
**Monday and Tuesday - 22:00-07:15, Saturday and Sunday 14:45-23:15 =33.5hrs**
**_Key Responsibilities: _**
- Respond to call-outs for clinical assistance for independent residents
- Ensure all relevant documentation is completed in regards to each call-out attended. This will include Independent Resident's clinical notes.
- Provide support with miscellaneous non time-restrictive tasks as may be allocated by the Care Manager.
- Complete all documentation/records/assessments

You MUST have a current and valid NZNC registration and APC. Current InterRAI training is also desirable.

- Proven nursing experience in Aged Care is preferred.
- Sound clinical knowledge
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
