**About the Role**

Reporting to the CFO/Company Secretary, this is great opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of the legal advisory function relating to commercial contracts within HEG. In addition, being the champion of the risk management, insurance, and business continuity delivery across the business. In this fast-paced role, you will be partnering with the business unit General Managers and Chief Operating Officers, and the CEO, in addition to other members of the senior leadership team and the Board, as a trusted commercial contracts legal expert. Your focus will be ensuring there is a robust and effective contract and tender framework and processes and that these are compliant with the agreed risk framework. As an expert in construction and facility maintenance contracts and tenders, you will be responsible for reviewing, advising, and negotiating on contractual terms to ensure the requirements of HEG are met.

Supported by a highly capable Senior Risk Officer, you will also be responsible for championing risk management practices across the Group, in accordance with ISO31000. This includes the maintenance of the Group’s risk registers, insurances programmes including the annual renewals, and site-specific business continuity plans.

In addition, you will be called upon from time to time to provide legal advice and support across HEG for other legal documents including procurement agreements and property leases.
