**Mō tēnei tūranga - About the role**
The Advisor Risk Reduction will be accountable for undertaking, supporting, and advising on risk reduction functions and activities across the built and natural environments within their District. This includes providing risk reduction advice and expertise to stakeholders, communities, and operational staff. They will undertake risk-reduction activities and functions throughout the District including compliance and enforcement. They will work in conjunction with other team members within their District and Region, and the Risk Reduction Directorate, as well as with external partners and stakeholders.
The ideal applicant:
- Be able to work collaboratively with the wider Community Risk Team.
- Adept at building collaborative working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
- A team player
- Exceptional time management skills
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Experience working with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
- Experience in undertaking fire investigations across the built or natural environments (or both)
- Experience in risk reduction or compliance or regulatory position
- Experience representing an organisation in a professional manner
