**Senior Advisor, Māori & Community Partnerships - 6-month fixed term role**

We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Māori & Community Partnerships team on a fixed-term, 6-month basis to cover for the period the incumbent is on secondment. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality advice and reporting to drive change that addresses family and sexual violence. You will also ensure that Te Aorerekura (the national strategy to eliminate family violence and sexual violence), our cross-agency strategy, remains focused on whānau-centred solutions, creating positive outcomes for Māori and communities across Aotearoa.

Reporting to the Operational Lead, you'll be part of a larger team of experienced kaimahi, passionate about the kaupapa. You will support the “Keeping People Safe” focus of the Second Te Aorerekura Action Plan which focuses on strengthening multi-agency responses to family violence.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have superior written and oral communication skills.
- Be committed to achieving equity, champion Te Ao Māori approaches within your work and use your leadership to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Have prior experience as a Senior Advisor working in the public sector.
- Be able to hit the ground running, manage complexity and meet deadlines.
- Enjoy working as a team and have a can-do attitude.

**Mō mātou/**About us**

Te Puna Aonui is a small unit, with a big role. Established as an Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB) our mandate is to ensure there is clear, joint accountability across government for work relating to the elimination of family violence and sexual violence.

We are stewards of Te Aorerekura, the national strategy to eliminate family violence and sexual violence.

The Māori & Community Partnerships Group leads the local, regional, and national enablement of Te Aorerekura, ensuring the actions and shifts identified are whanau centred and iwi and community led.

They lead the development of a self-sustaining system through growing the capability and capacity of the family violence and sexual violence workforces and the sector with targeted tools, support, and upskilling.

They are responsible for partnering and engagement with victim survivors, FVSV sectors and localities to turn insights of system barriers into effective solutions and support to the communities we serve.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $143,388 based on skills and experience.
