The IT Commercial Advisor plays a supporting role in the supply partner interactions, strategic sourcing, tendering and other commercial IT activities.

Job Description**
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

You’ll get involved in a wide array of activities from supplier performance/relationship management to procurement to contract management. But here’s the best thing, we seeking someone to be able to provide commercial advice to the business. This means you’ll have the opportunity to identify and develop new business opportunities and initiatives. Here’s a couple of things you’ll get involved with;
- **
Strategic Sourcing**:assisting in developing channels of supply through smart procurement practices where appropriate to achieve optimal cost and value.
- **
Reporting**: reporting on spend analysis for Tier one and Tier two supply partners, identifying trends and opportunities for efficiency gains
- **
Knowledge Management**:capturing information and documentation generated by IT Commercial within Contact’s document management system Sharepoint.

Qualifications**

You’ll have plenty of stories to share about when you have delivered exceptional customer service in either commercial and/or procurement advice. Seeing as this role can be based from anywhere in NZ, you’ll need to be the master of delivering a high standard of service from your place of mahi (in some locations we do have an office e.g. Auckland/Wellington).

Just to make sure that you are suited correctly for this position, we’d like to see how you have;
- Working knowledge of current IT technologies, total lifecycle costs structures and pricing mechanisms is desirable.
- Strong IT Procurement knowledge and demonstrable experience in tenders, supplier management and providing commercial advice to key internal stakeholders.
- Skills in sourcing IT component of the procurement lifecycle e.g., strategic thinking in development of sourcing approach/route to market, working with the business to analyse and understand market, dynamics, analysing and understanding internal dynamics, negotiation strategy, evaluation strategy.
