Mō te tūnga |About the role You will contribute to the effective delivery of transitional housing across Aotearoa. The role can be based in either our Auckland or Wellington offices. You will be responsible for:

- Interpreting development plans against design standards and providing concise feedback to stakeholders.
- Assessing commercial, legislative or design risks, and recommending risk mitigants.
- Engaging and building relationships with a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders.

Salary range for this role is $98,749 - $120,693. Mōu | About you This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience of financial and commercial analysis, project implementation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management to join HUD's Housing Supply team. Experience working in/with or understanding of the public sector and iwi entities is advantageous. As a Senior Commercial Advisor, you will bring a combination of:

- Strong commercial acumen related to property development including knowledge of the housing sector and key operatives and trends.
- Proven organisational skills to manage projects at different stages of development.
- Working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and Building Act.
- Understanding of different leasing contractual arrangements, Healthy Homes standards and the Residential Tenancies Act.
- A proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships within a team, a wider organisation and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative, consultative approach to your work.
- An appreciation of the iwi/Māori property development sector and commitment to working with iwi as development partners.
- Comfortable working within a public sector environment.
