Ward C1 is a dynamic Older Persons Health ward, specialising in rehabilitation for the older adult post-surgical, medical and orthopaedic events. C1 has a strong Interdisciplinary focus working alongside multiple specialities for a person centred service.

**Pehea | About You**

This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse with proven leadership skills looking to enhance their knowledge and experience. You will work with the Nursing Director to facilitate the professional development of staff and focus on implementation and development of a nursing care delivery model that supports service requirements. You will provide clinical leadership in nursing practice and co-ordinate department activities for the provision of a safe environment for practise.

Effective communication and development of a close working relationship with all multidisciplinary team members is the key to success in this role. With your extensive clinical experience and patient focused attitude, you will demonstrate the ability to enthusiastically lead a diverse team in a challenging but supportive environment.

Burwood Hospital is a close-knit, friendly facility that forms part of Te Whatu Ora - Waitaha [Canterbury] situated near Burwood Forest on the outskirts of Christchurch Central. Along with 11 inpatient wards, we also have a busy Out Patient Department; 4 theatres with an Admitting Unit and PACU. Our Spinal Unit is one of two located in New Zealand and between the two busy units deliver a National Service.
