Rehabilitation Service - Physical Health Inpatient Wards
- Contract: Permanent 1FTE (80 Hours per fortnight), with opportunities for role growth.

**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

Occupational Therapy (OT) Department has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist. As an Occupational Therapist you will work on the rehabilitation ward, having a caseload and supporting the rotational staff members/assistants as needed. You will work closely with Multidisciplinary team, work with wider internal and external providers and closely with the Inpatient Occupational Therapy team.

If you have:

- Experience in rehabilitation and passionate OT working as an individual and wider teams.
- Registered with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and work within Occupational Therapy board of conduct.
- The ability to provide efficient, effective intervention for patients.
- A knowledge/ understanding of funding processes for Enable NZ and ACC
- A commitment to quality service delivery and comply with the privacy act.
- An interest in and empathy with elderly and disabled clients
- Motivated to learn, explore and assist staff and patients during high demand.
- Good time management skills
- Eager to learn.
- Provide support to the Inpatient Clinical lead.
- Have 2 or more years’ experience and worked in a rehab setting before.

- Te Whatu Ora Taranaki employs approximately 350 allied health professionals across its services, and we’re growing our inpatient physical health rehabilitation team by 60%. You will be joining a friendly team that is diverse in skills and experience, a team that welcomes collaboration, and that values the contribution of each team member. Our team provides rehabilitation care across acute and non-acute inpatient wards, and we’re happy to support other teams to ensure their success.

Moū - About you
- You will need to have:
- Experience in rehabilitation and passion work as an OT within Rehabilitation setting, and the wider OT team
- Registered with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand and work within Occupational Therapy board code of conduct
