Join us as a Stabilising & Milling Engineer to join the Waikato team.
This role offers a fantastic pathway for progression within our civil industry. Reporting to our department manager, you have the ability to really step up and make this role your own.
This role requires the ability to work away from home on a regular basis for extended periods. Based out of Hamilton, our national operating department at Fulton Hogan travels to worksites all over New Zealand. Workdays are generally Monday to Friday, with regular Saturday and Sunday work or travel during the busy summer months. Occasional night shift work may also be required.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing management, coordination, and supervision of assigned civil works, undertaken by our own staff or subcontractors- Ensure appropriate resources are allocated to the job in the most efficient way- Show initiative and work with the team to develop and implement engineered solutions in the delivery of the contracted works- Develop and implement control measures to minimize risk to health and safety for workers and members of the public- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the resource consents and closed-out to specified requirements In addition to the above you will:
- Experience from similar role or relevant Tertiary Qualification (BE or NZCE)- Class 1 Full NZ drivers licence, Class 2 is advantageous- Passion and commitment to safety in the workplace- Being a team player, self-motivated and take pride in your work
