**MercyAscot** is New Zealand's largest **private surgical hospital facility** with 22 theatres across three Auckland sites.

We're seeking a Maintenance Officer to undertake general repairs, maintenance and labouring tasks at **Ascot Hospital in Greenlan**e. Reporting to the Maintenance & Project Lead, this role is permanent full-time, Monday to Friday with flexibility on hours and will suit an energetic, practical and agile person, who can both plan ahead and think on their feet, to ensure Mercy's property and facilities are maintained with optimum **safety and efficiency**.

**Day to day activities can include**:

- Preventative maintenance
- Grounds care & maintenance
- General repairs including preparation & painting
- Assembly & relocation of furniture, equipment and other items
- Provide manual support to the facilities team and hospital

**About you**:

- Experience as a handyman, journeyman, groundsman or caretaker
- Background in construction, facilities maintenance, painting & decorating
- Experience using a range of power and hand tools safely & correctly
- Pro-active, uses initiative and demonstrates a customer service approach
- Solid communicator - you'll be working with individuals across all our sites so friendly, customer focused attitude is a must
