**Job title/Position: Systems Administrator**

Tech Mahindra is on the hunt for a **Systems Administrator** to join their technical team based out of **Auckland, **New Zealand for full time work.
**Systems Administrator** at Tech Mahindra will be required to perform the following key roles & responsibilities:
1. Performance tuning of network, Exalogic, ELB, backup and restoration
2. Design and maintain database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries and naming conventions to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data master files
3. Facilitate all hardware replacements, maintenance, and remediation tasks through the relevant In-Scope Vendor of hardware.
4. Practice and demonstrate recovery of In-scope Systems.
5. Perform operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups, recovery procedures, and enforce security and integrity controls
6. Test operating systems and upgrades, such as debugging, tracking, reproduction, logging and resolving all identified problems, according to approved quality testing scripts, procedures and processes
7. Plan and perform server migration and upgrades
8. Build Solaris and RHEL servers & migrated the Applications from Legacy servers to new servers.
9. Accept responsibility for the processes, procedures and operational management associated with system security and disaster recovery planning
10. Continually survey current computer site to determine future network needs and making recommendations for enhancements in the implementation of future servers and networks
12. Implement and administer database documentation, guidelines, policies and procedures
13. Ensure that the design of computer sites allows all components to fit together and work properly, and monitor and adjust the performance of networks
14. Maintain the Disaster Recovery systems and processes to the required RPO and RTO
15. Define and perform the patching and update cycles and administration.
16. Administration and tuning of various SAN/NAS Storage arrays including NetApp, Nimble
17. Troubleshoot and provide service support in diagnosing, resolving and repairing server-related hardware and software malfunctions, encompassing workstations and communication infrastructure
18. Prepare and maintain documentation, policies and instructions, and record and detail operational procedures and system logs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrate knowledge and experience with Systems Administration, especially in the Telecommunication domain.
Applicant with **at least 3** years of Systems Administration experience with the below skillsets will be preferred:
- Experience on VMware NFV and virtualization technologies such as Solaris LDOMs, OVM and KVM.
- Backup and recovery configurations Commvault and HP data Protector.
- Experience in Shell, Perl, Python scripts and automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
**Salary**
The gross salary range for this position is between **NZD $_80,000_ to NZD $_100,000_ per annum over a 40-hour work week.** Other benefits include health and welfare insurance for you and your family.
