**Description**:
A little bit about the role
Join us as an IT Procurement Specialist at DDS IT and play a vital role in managing and optimizing the procurement process for goods and services. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement principles, negotiation skills, and supplier relationship management. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
**Some Key Responsibilities include**:
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery time.
Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and contractual agreements.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition processing, purchase order management, and supplier performance evaluation.
Analyse market trends, conduct supplier evaluations, and maintain a diverse and reliable supplier database to optimize the supply chain.
Monitor inventory levels and establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Stay up to date with industry advancements, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Utilize quote management skills to streamline procurement processes and drive efficiency.
**Skills and Experiences**:
A bit about you
Having a bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is highly desirable. Your proficiency in negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management is essential to excel in this role.
Familiarity with New Zealand procurement regulations and industry standards is necessary. While your excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen focus on cost optimization and efficiency, are vital assets.
Your strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers. You would also be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and the ability to respond to incoming requests while constantly challenging the status quo are important qualities we value.
