Auckland City, New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Waitemata Full time

Full time 1 FTE (80 hours per fortnight)
- Permanent

We have an exciting an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join the Te Whatu Ora-Waitematā renal team as our new Associate Clinical Charge Nurse (ACCN) in our North Shore Dialysis Centre (NSDC) based at North Shore Hospital.

Working with the Charge Nurse Manager-Haemodialysis, the NSDC ACCN co-leads the incentre haemodialysis team of nurses and clinical physiologists - ours is a busy clinical environment, with plenty of opportunities for you to enhance and grow your leadership and management experience with our support.

We are growing _a Centre of Excellence in dialysis care at Waitematā_: we are seeking an ACCN who will not only be passionate about caring _for_ renal patients, but also be passionate about caring _about_ them, too. You will be responsible for the professional development of staff to ensure they deliver excellence in clinical practice. You will be expected to lead on and manage clinical frameworks and the primary nursing model of care we use in Waitematā dialysis centres, actively contribute to management of clinical risk, facilitate the systems and processes in place to improve patient access to services, and to achieve quality patient outcomes in collaboration with the Charge Nurse Manager-Haemodialysis.

You will already be a success-orientated, passionate and experienced registered nurse with some leadership experience and post-graduate qualifications. You will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in the dialysis specialty. Your experience in clinical leadership and contemporary nursing knowledge and passion for developing nurses - and your values for delivering excellent patient care will make you stand out from the rest.

Should you have any queries about the requirements of the position, please contact Jon Hosking, Charge Nurse Manager Haemodialysis on 022 544 5530
