CHECKOUT SUPERVISORS - PART TIME ROLE

Days Required will be Friday and Saturday - hours to be discussed. From time to time there will also be extra days and hours

Which is why we are looking for a customer driven, and highly passionate people-person to take on the challenge of being one of our Checkout Supervisors.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Checkout Supervisor, you will be assisting and supporting the day-to-day running of the Checkouts Department, ensuring customers are at the for-front of every decision, supporting a talented and passionate team of individuals as well as assisting with rostering and meeting departmental KPI's. Some of the key areas for the role will be:

- Keeping on top of customer flow and ensuring appropriate numbers of checkouts are open at all times.
- Training new checkout operators as required.
- Monitoring the security of the checkout area at all times.
- Handling customer enquiries and complaints appropriately and ensuring effective interactions with customers at all times.
- Ensuring speedy resolution of price enquiry and other queries through effective liaison with all departments. Ensuring appropriate escalation of price scanning errors and returning customer complaint forms to the appropriate department.
- Monitoring impulse bars and fridges and ensuring stock is correctly ticketed and priced. Also monitoring stationery / bag levels to ensure sufficient levels are maintained.
- Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
- Retail experience to a supervisory level or more
- A commitment to providing an excellent customer experience
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
- Comply with our food control plan and health and safety programme
- Right to work in New Zealand
