New World Stonefields is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the team as a Checkout Supervisor, where we value teamwork, growth, and customer satisfaction.

As a Checkout Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the checkout operations and maintaining a smooth and efficient customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

- ** Team Leadership**: Lead, motivate, and train checkout staff to deliver exceptional customer service, resolve issues, and maintain a positive working environment.
- ** Checkout Operations**: Ensure efficient and accurate scanning of items, proper bagging, and timely processing of transactions to minimize waiting times for customers.
- ** Customer Assistance**: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests, ensuring a helpful and friendly shopping experience.
- ** Housekeeping**: Ensuring the checkout area is kept clean and tidy and all trolleys, baskets and credits are cleared away regularly to avoid clutter or potential hazards being created.
- **Problem Solving**: Handle and resolve customer disputes or operational challenges with professionalism and tact.
- ** Inventory Control**: Monitor inventory levels at checkout counters, impulse bars and fridges, ensuring stock is correctly ticketed.
- ** Training**: Train new checkout team members on company policies, procedures, and customer service standards.
- ** Compliance**: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and cash management procedures. Monitor the security of the checkout area at all times.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position within a retail or customer service environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers, team members, and management effectively.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and basic computer skills.
- Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns and resolve operational issues.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
