**Ko te tūranga mahi | About the role**

Are you ready to take on a dynamic and impactful role? As Public Trust's Property Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing our leased portfolio. This includes ensuring all leases are valid, negotiating extensions and renewals, handling lease documentation, and keeping our lease records and databases current. You will play a key role in working with real estate agents to locate new premises or relocate existing sites when necessary.

In addition to lease management, you will:

- Coordinate upgrades and refurbishments of existing offices.
- Lead the build, closure, or relocation of offices.
- Occasionally travel across our national leased portfolio for site closures, relocations, or other business-critical property events.
- Work closely with the National Facilities Advisor to achieve best practice property and facilities management.
- Be part of the Property and Procurement Team within the Finance function, enjoying the benefits of Public Trust's flexible work policy.

You are a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for property management. You thrive on challenges and are a natural problem solver. Your strong communication skills enable you to build effective relationships with your stakeholders. Being a collaborative team player, sees you being hands on, flexible and adaptable in your role.

In addition to the above you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in Property, Real Estate, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years in New Zealand commercial property management
- Experience managing tenant relationships, lease agreements, rent reviews, renewals, and day-to-day operations.
- Proven track record in maintenance schedules, budgeting, and contractor management.
- Understanding of New Zealand property management, legislation, compliance obligations, and market trends.
