Our Tauranga team working on the Westlink Contract are looking for someone to step into the management of Downer's road maintenance activities as Maintenance Resource Coordinator. You will be responsible for the management of the in-house civil team and a number of small subcontractors, to deliver carriageway maintenance (preseals, digouts, levelling, potholes etc.), kerb and channel repairs and renewals, asphalt footpath repairs and renewals, and concrete/cobblestone repairs. The role also plays an active part in on-call rosters and in responding to emergency events.

This role focuses primarily on the leadership and organisation of the civil team to deliver the annual programme of minor maintenance and renewals work. To be successful in this position you will excel at managing work crews, where you will focus on workforce development and creating effective operational structures to ultimately develop a strong and motivated team. You will have an aptitude for planning and execution with safety, quality and productivity in mind, and be able to manage the team to achieve superior results in these key areas.

Working for the Programme Manager you will ensure operational programmes are developed and delivered, and that training and development programmes across our waged workforce are scoped and implemented.

**About you**:
We are looking for a someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience who has been in charge of people, plant, equipment and finances, ideally within a Civil construction or maintenance environment.
- Essential to have:_
- Experience in urban maintenance or a strong desire to work in this field.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook, and Project.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with an ability to converse with staff and clients at all level
- A can-do attitude with the ability to be a self-starter and problem solver.
- Financial management and cost control experience
- Current Drivers’ Licence
- Desirable to have or be working towards:_
- Engineering or other related qualification or significant on-the-job technical and supervisory experience.
- High level of RAMM Contractor competency.
