You will be a member of a dedicated Parks and Gardens Maintenance Team responsible for delivering a wide range of parks maintenance activities across the diverse parkland environments within Banks Peninsula.

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**

The role is all-inclusive and will require you to be a committed team player. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of horticultural tasks to ensure all aspects of the parks including garden areas, turf, and all associated furnishings within our parks are maintained to the highest standard. These can include:

- Mowing, gardening, spraying, emptying litter bins, track work and line trimming.
- Chainsaw work, carpentry skills, mechanic skills on small plant.
- Planting including site prep and planning.

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**

You will be a people person with an optimistic outlook, with the flexibility to be involved in activities across the unit to address demand in department or area workloads. Being a practical, mechanically minded person would be advantageous.
- You will have a relevant qualification, trade, or practical experience in a similar or transferable role, for example operating machinery or farm equipment.
- Full NZ driver's license
- Good communication skills and a can-do attitude
