**About the role | Mō Te Tūranga**
We are an award-winning council for Climate Adaptation planning, and we are looking for an experienced Planner to lead our climate change adaption work programme.
Where you get to work within a supportive team;
- Work with communities to adopt and implement their costal adaptation plans
- Engaging with our communities, about proactive relocation options.
- Proactively communicating, informing & engaging with our communities and key stakeholders on climate change related issues.
- Developing and reviewing key strategic planning documents.
- Keep up to date with climate change research, trends, and policies.
**About you | Mōu**

- Experience in community engagement for high profile projects.
- Natural communicator and leader who is comfortable engaging with groups.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Your strategic thinking and critical evaluation skills.
- Ability to work in a positive solution focused team.
You will need to have a relevant tertiary qualification (i.e. environmental management, science, policy, economics or law, above all we are looking for peole who share our values and vision for our communities.
