We are looking for a Software Solutions Consultant (pre-sales) guru to join Silverstripe You will be a problem solver with excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise, design and guide digital solutions that lead customers to opportunities with a fast-growing software company. The role is to act as an early engagement point for customers seeking new possibilities, support enterprise software sales with technical expertise, and consult for prospective solutions and solution requirements.
You get excited about the thrill of a challenge and enjoy problem solving to get the best outcome for all parties involved. We are pretty flexible on location, though we would love it if you were based in Wellington or Auckland. Occasional domestic travel may be required

**Requirements**:
**What will I be doing?**
Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, you will be responsible for providing consulting and operational support to the Sales team. The role works in close partnership with the Account Managers and Account Directors to achieve successful presentation of the company’s solutions to the market. You will collaborate and design the solutions/products and provide product(s) related business, technical or operational pre-sales support companywide.
This role is a key position in the Sales & Marketing business unit. The role supports their respective efforts to market and sell the value propositions of Silverstripe’s products and services offerings in-line with company strategy with the ultimate goal of achieving our sales targets (revenue).
- Provide technical knowledge and expertise (content management) for pre-sales activities and assist technical teams with solution blueprints as needed.
- Consult with customers to understand their digital business to recommend a sound solution through a full pre sales life cycle. Ensure customer proof of concepts (POCs) are executed appropriately
- Working with sales to drive the pre-sales phase by introducing the Silverstripe product/services offering and providing product demonstrations.
- Prepare and Present the value of Silverstripe products and Services to a variety of audiences (including C-level) through presentations and demonstrations, ensuring all collateral is up to date.
- Managing the sales bid process by responding to RFI’s & RFP’s at a detailed and professional level.
- Liaising with Product and Delivery leads to provide feedback from clients about product requirements
- Monitor and communicate key market trends, the competitive landscape and the perception of Silverstripe in the market
- work under pressure and maintain effective working relationships with wide range of personalities across a complex organisation
**What skills and experience are we looking for?**
- A relevant formal qualification (Computer Science, Engineering or a related field) or 4 + years of experience required in the digital industry, preferably with a relevant Software Vendor, focused on Digital Solutions.
- Previous experience in Pre-sales (or similar role), with knowledge of technology stacks such as AWS, PHP, CMS products etc. Silverstripe knowledge is very advantageous.
- Functional experience is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in selecting and implementing digital solutions is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills - building relationships with a diverse range of people from managers to executives
- Ability to distil and clearly articulate needs, issues and insights, and communicate these across various stakeholders while maintaining the trust and confidence of both parties
- Excellent time management and problem solving skills.
