Opteon is reimagining the future of property solutions. As the leading valuation insights firm across New Zealand, Australia, and the US, we deliver trusted insights by combining human expertise with industry-leading tech.
But we’re more than that. At Opteon, _value_ means investing in our people, too. We do this through flexible work, mentoring, and leadership pathways, all backed by a safety-first culture and meaningful benefits.
Now in a new chapter of growth, we’re expanding globally, diversifying our offering, and staying grounded in what matters most: delivering value that makes a difference.
The Role:

It plays a key part in mentoring valuation teams, driving continuous improvement, and implementing automated and streamlined processes to enhance operational efficiency.
The role also ensures compliance with relevant legislation, manages valuation-related risks, and maintains robust documentation and audit trails. Effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, auditors, and internal teams, is essential to support transparency and confidence in valuation practices.
Specifically, this role will:
- Ensure valuation processes meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
- Implement and manage procedures such as sampling and peer reviews to maintain valuation quality
- Review valuation models, assumptions, and data sources for reliability and validity
- Conduct reviews of valuation techniques and results to ensure consistency and completeness
- Provide guidance and training to valuation teams on quality standards and best practices
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to valuation inaccuracies or non-compliance
- Stay updated on changes in valuation standards, regulations and market conditions
- Maintain detailed records of valuation procedures, validations checks, and QA activities
- Drive innovation and improvement in valuation quality assurance practices
- Oversee the integrity and quality of valuation data and supporting systems
- Represent Opteon at OVG revaluation audits and external stakeholders meetings/functions
To secure this role you will need:
- Registered Valuer (NZIV)
- Degree in Business (Property) or equivalent qualifications
- Interest in mentoring and supporting a high performing, committed team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to thrive as a team and independently
