Applications are invited for this diverse role, providing project and administrative support for the curriculum insights and progress study - an important part of our uniquely Aotearoa New Zealand system for understanding how learners are progressing and achieving across primary schooling.

In this role you will work with a dynamic and collegiate team of research, technical and operational staff, ensuring that administrative processes and systems are effective, efficient, and compliant.
- Your work will include:

- day-to-day administration;
- enquiry management;
- arranging travel;
- support for staffing coordination;
- purchasing; and
- expenditure reconciliation.

**_ Your skills and experience/Kā pūkeka me kā wheako_**
- Ideally, you will have the following:

- High level of computer literacy, including extensive experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A strong customer focus and problem-solving ability.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise tasks in the context of a project environment.
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and manage workload.
- Experience with financial administration and records management systems.

**_ About our team/Mō te tīma_**

The Educational Assessment Research Unit (EARU) is located within the College of Education at the University of Otago. It is comprised of a small, dedicated team of researchers and technical staff, whose purpose is to provide robust assessment information to New Zealand educators and policy makers.

This is a part-time (18.75 hours per week), fixed-term position until June 2026, based in Dunedin.
