**This role is based in our Auckland or Wellington (preferred) office**

**What you'll be doing**
- No day is the same in the NZTE Communications Team, you'll be sourcing and creating a story for media, working up an internal communications strategy, analysing our channels to ensure they are effective and responding to Minister's Office request.

**What you'll need to be successful**
- This role requires a strategic thinker with demonstrable internal and external communications experience, understanding of government and a proven track record working with the news media. Your familiarity with government agencies, ministerial processes, and ability to navigate government protocols will be valuable.
- You'll be responsible for crafting and executing internal and external communication and engagement strategies that deliver measurable outcomes. Your analytical skills will ensure that our communications are audience-centric, achieving impact. As an outstanding communicator, you will quickly establish rapport across our internal and external stakeholders. Your agility and action-oriented approach will enable you to balance various needs and deadlines.
