Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity**
- This is a hands-on legal role that combines technical expertise with commercial insight, primarily supporting Fonterra’s Group Functions.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of IT and commercial contracts
- Providing legal advice on day-to-day matters and major business initiatives, both in New Zealand and internationally
- Supporting regulatory issues and litigation
- Proactively managing legal risks having regard to strategy.
- Contributing to cross-functional projects and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Delivering legal training to business teams and promoting legal awareness
- Collaborating with the global legal team and wider business to drive strategic outcomes

Mōu | About You**We’re looking for a confident legal professional who can operate independently while remaining closely aligned with business needs. You’ll be solutions-focused, commercially savvy, and able to build strong relationships across the organisation.-
To be successful, you’ll need:
-- An LLB and a current New Zealand practising certificate (or eligibility to hold one).
- Strong law firm and/or in-house experience, ideally working with major international companies and complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and drafting a wide range of technology-related agreements.- Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess legal risk in a business context.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously while knowing when to seek support from senior team members.
