Group Privacy Manager

**About The Role**

Lead the Group Privacy function on a global scale for a business whose global footprint continues to grow.

Due to an internal move, an opportunity presents to join our Group Risk Advisory team as Group Privacy Manager. Reporting to the GM of Group Risk Advisory, you’ll lead activities related to the strategy, management, development and implementation of privacy policies and programs for the group company.

Partnering with several key business functions and supporting a range of internal customers with varying levels of privacy maturity, business needs and priorities, you’ll have touchpoints across the broader international business, specifically across established markets in Europe, Asia and North America and with an opportunity to support business operations in new markets.

While we have an established group privacy program, there remains to be an opportunity to continue to embed and mature the privacy function across all parts of the business, to strategically manage and protect data.

This role is broad and varied, with no two days being the same. You will also:

- Provide expert privacy and data protection advice and leadership across the business.
- Set strategy and develop global and regional approaches to complex privacy matters involving systems, processes and data handling activities.
- Coordinate and manage privacy programs across business areas and international offices.
- Fulfil the positions of (NZ) Privacy Officer and (EU) Data Protection Officer, and other applicable jurisdictions where necessary.
- Manage processes for privacy requests and incident management.
- Work closely with internal customers with privacy and data handling responsibilities in the organization to support privacy strategies and commitments.
- Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to foster privacy awareness within the organisation, including training.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable global privacy and security laws and accreditation standards.

**Skills & Experience**

Whatever your background, this role will provide an opportunity to learn new skills and broaden your experience in a global company with international reach and engagement.

You could come from a Risk and Compliance background, be a Lawyer or perhaps have an ICT background.

You will also have:

- The skills to establish trusted working relationships to enable successful collaboration across the F&P Group at all levels, including senior leadership and to partner with the business to support strategic and commercial business objectives which balance privacy and data protection interests.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to understand, and investigate as necessary, business issues and risks to advise on regulatory requirements, business processes and information solutions.
- Developed project management skills and capability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience advising on Privacy and Data Protection, including a working knowledge of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and/or other global privacy regulations (preferred, but not essential).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and stretch yourself into new areas and be adaptable.
- The appetite to travel overseas as required.
