**About the role**:
This is a unique role working across a high-performing team within Finance. You will join a friendly and open culture, working with experienced team members including senior stakeholders who will invest in your coaching and development.
Based in our Group Reporting team and reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, you will be involved in a variety of financial reporting activities and build a great understanding of our business. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in improvement initiatives and technology projects, including being part of an ongoing project to implement more functionality to our group consolidation tool to keep up with our growing global operations.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Supporting the preparation of internal and external consolidation and financial reporting, including liaison with our external auditors
- Supporting the accounting and reporting for our NZ operations, including finance ownership of some subsidiaries
- Involvement in continuous improvement and technology projects, including the ongoing implementation of our group consolidation tool
- Research of technical accounting considerations for local, overseas and consolidated group reporting requirements
**About you**:
- Strong accounting background, with 2+ years of experience. This could be a great move from a CA firm or a financial reporting role in a corporate
- Passionate about technical accounting and reporting, including some familiarity with IFRS
- Articulate and influential, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and across our global operations
- Agility to manage a variety of work and flexibility to respond to evolving needs including taking initiative and ownership of your work
- Methodical with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and consistency, but also able to understand the impact on the bigger picture
- Naturally curious and questioning, with a continuous improvement mindset and embracing of technology and tools
- While strong Excel skills are a given, experience with Power BI and large ERP systems such as SAP and reporting tools such as SAP BPC would be an advantage but is not critical
