**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
- To manage and co-ordinate the Taupo and Upper Waikato team to deliver the annual catchment and river management work programme.
- Ensure appropriate allocation of resourcing across the Lake Taupo and Upper Waikato catchments to best meet work programme needs, including deploying staff to meet catchment priorities and to project manage and/or deliver specific project work.
- To build and maintain a commitment to the organisation’s vision through leading a team culture of open communication.
- Maintain appropriate level of technical competencies within the Lake Taupo and Upper Waikato catchment programme through recruitment, further education, and staff development.

**Mō te tangata | About you**
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
- Good programme management skills - time management, self-discipline, priority setting and achievement of objectives.
- Proven success at building relationships and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders.
- This role is the ideal mix of team leadership and hands on catchment and river management project delivery and is based in Taupo.
- If you have a background in leading teams; delivering on work programmes and enjoy working with farmers, community groups and stakeholders then we would like to talk with you.

**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- Relevant tertiary qualification. (at degree level minimum)
- 5+ years of applied experience in land/catchment management. Proven success at building relationships and resolving issues with internal and external stakeholders.
